Awalnya gara-gara ditodong minta didownloadin clip musik sama si nyonya, jadilah gue kecanduan Youtube, mulai dari clip live-nya Van Tomiko, YUI, speech-speechnya Steve Jobs, sampai rekaman gol Persib! Berikut ini beberapa cara mendownload film-film dari Youtube :
  1. Video Downloader, setelah plugins untuk browser FireFox terinstall kita cukup mengklik icon di pojok bawah browser untuk memunculkan popup dan mendownload klip Youtube.
  2. KeepVid.com, cukup copy paste link YouTube di situs ini lalu donlot deh.
  3. Youtube-dl, favorit sayah… script Python untuk donlot klip Youtube via commandline. Di terminal Ubuntu Linux langsung jalan (tinggal diset executable aja).
Contoh penggunaan: 
diki@chickenhost:~$ chmod +x youtube-dl
diki@chickenhost:~$ youtube-dl -o "Desktop/Van Tomiko - Senkou.flv" 
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ChWKVCrfWU

Kalau ternyata python-nya ngga ada, ya tinggal :
diki@chickenhost:~$ sudo apt-get install python
